Christmas in July Sock Drive - Community Service Ministry (CSM) is coordinating a Sock Drive during the month of July so that we can stock the Christmas stores this December. The stores like to give a pair of socks to every person they serve, but it doesn't take long before they run out. Let's work together to fill the collection barrels in the lobby and in the Preschool Wing to overflowing during the month of July so that every person who comes to the Christmas store can have a pair of socks. We need all sizes - infants through adults, both male and female. Let's fill those barrels!

Greater Things 2010 – Sunday, August 22!

What is “Greater Things 2010”? It is a day that is all about sharing our overflowing joy of “this Jesus thing” with family, friends, neighbors, and community!
 
It is a day dedicated to experiencing God’s blessings of “Greater Things” to come and to be done as our Lord of Life community comes together to outflow into our neighborhoods and community to share the joy of these same blessings through small, simple acts of kindness. 
 
Sunday, August 22nd, we will serve people in our local community.  We hope for total congregation involvement. Projects include offering free car washes, visiting nursing homes, delivering gift bags to local retailers, cleaning windows and restrooms, construction and home repair, yard work, even computer repair! There is something for everyone. Sign up as an individual, family, or small group.

Food Drive for Greater Things 2010 - Bring nonperishable food for the next few Sundays, and on August 22nd one of our groups will package it up and deliver it to Blue Valley Multi-Service Center (BVMSC). Unlike our other food drives which support families in the downtown KC area, the food we will be collecting over the next few Sundays will stay right here in our own neighborhood. Believe it or not, there are people all around us who are going hungry and they need our help! Please join the Lord of Life church family in reaching out to families in need in the Blue Valley area!
