Adult Bible Study

Connecting people to God’s Word makes a world of difference at Lord of Life.

Through adult Bible study on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am, you can better understand the teachings of the Bible in addition to making new friends in a casual learning environment.

In most cases, three or four different Bible study classes (usually six weeks in length) are offered on Sunday mornings. A wide variety of topics is covered throughout the year and may include:

  • World Views
  • Marriage
  • Raising Children
  • Manhood
  • Womanhood

Fall Session 2 --October 29 - December 17 (No Class November 26)

Cultivating Faith - We will spend 8 weeks digging through Scripture that will foster our growth as followers of Jesus. Being a follower of Jesus means we live out our faith by developing certain practices. We will explore 5 practices, each focusing on ways to further develop our faith. Participants will have an opportunity to asses their faith life, commit to a growth plan, do some short daily readings and reflections, and participate in weekly discussions to aid in their personal faith journey. Led by Lisa Hellyer, cafe.

The Incarnation of God - Christmas is more than just a sweet story of a baby in a manger. The Incarnation of God, Christ born as a human being, is the most world-changing event since the Creation itself! What does this mean? How then should we live? Come join the discussion in this class and find a deeper understanding of the meaning of Advent and Christmas. Led by Kyle Garrett, LL103.

Roaring 20’s - “Crash the Chatterbox” - Learn to live out God's truth no matter what thoughts or circumstances mark your life. Learn how to replace negative internal chatter with the promises of God and walk through the issues of insecurity, fear, condemnation, and discouragement. Listening to God's voice above all others is the most important habit you can ever develop! Led by Jordan Hinmon, LL101

The question is: Have you been the hunter or the prey? This study is not about music. It's not even about going to church. It's about living your life as an offering of worship to God. It's about tapping into the source of power to live the Christian life. And it's about discovering the secret to friendship with God. Led by Eric Mott, LL104/LL105.
