Highlights for Lent - 2010

40 Days of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday (February 17th) and takes us to Easter Sunday (April 4th).

Wednesday Evening Lenten Worship Focus:

“Words of Life from the Cross” - Christ offered up His Life for the life of the world, and His final words form the theme of this Lent - Easter series.  Each word Jesus spoke imparts a blessing and is a word of Gospel. Each Word of Christ proclaims His glory as we trust Him for forgiveness, life, and salvation.

Dinner begins at 5:45pm with Worship following at 7pm.

March 17th - The Suffering Word - "I thirst" John 19:28

March 24th - The Dying Word - "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit!" Luke 23:46

The Sr. High Youth want to cook for you and serve you dinner every Wednesday night before Lent worship. That's right, we're going to serve you and your family a delicious meal every Wednesday so you don't have to worry about feeding your family before getting to church.  Our Sr. High students are trying to raise funds to help pay for their expenses to go to LVR as well as to this summer's National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. When you show up to  dinner, you get tasty food, great service, and the chance to support our students.

On the menu is:
March 17 - Soup and salad
March 24 - Chicken Alfredo and Spaghetti

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Holy Bible is the Word of God.  (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

The only true God is the Triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

We are saved by grace, for Christ's sake, through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

God operates through His Word and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

God's people are called to be His disciples in carrying the Gospel to all people.
